remote observation of comet 67P from Telescope.Live Rio Hutardo, Chile with a 0.5-m f/6.5 telescope on 24 may 2021.
spectroscopic observations on 21 may
The weather has been bad for quite some time, with lots of rain clouds. It now cleared up briefly, albeit with a lot of wind, but was able to use the opportunity to record 2 spectra after all, more specifically: nova V1405 Cas 2021, 28 Cyg
spectroscopic observations on 19 may
after the clouds where gone, i could start with taken some spectra of: Novae V1405 Cas 2021, gam Cas (H-alpha detail @ 6562.8 Å) and gam Cas for HeI-detal @ 6678 Å
spectroscopic observations on 15 may
during e short period of clear sky, i could obtain again a spectrum for H-alpha detail for novae V1405 Cas.
spectroscopic observations on 12 may
Between the showers was a period of about 1.5 hours of clear sky. I was able to record spectra of nova Cas 2021 (V1405 Cas) ( see ATel #14577) and HD 174179
spectroscopic observation on 8 may
during a short period of clear sky i could obtain a spectrum of HD 24479 for H-alpha detail @ 6562.8Å.
comet and spectroscopic observations on 7 may 2021
The weather forecasts foresaw about 2 hours of clear sky, which I used to be able to observe 2 comets after all: C/2020 R4, C/2021 A1. With the C11 telescope + LHiResIII spectrograph, I was able to simultaneously observe 2 Be stars in the spectrum for H-alpha detail (@ 6562.8Å), these were: cx Draconis, theta Corona Borealisae.
new comet C/2021 E3 (ZTF)
This observation was made, while this object was still mentioned on the PCCP of the MPC. Observation in the morning of 17 march @ 2h07m UT with my 0.4-m f/3.8 Orion Optics AG16 telescope with SBIG STL6303E CCD-camera. 30 unfiltered images of 120 sec each were taken and stacked into 2 groups of each 15 images and has magnitude of about 19.5. The object showed a central condensation with a hint of a short tail on both images, which was visible with the ‘blinking’ function in the software. This comet was later on 6 may assigned as comet C/2021 E3 (ZTF).
spectroscopic and comet observations on 2 may
during this clear evening i could observe some comets, I can only start later in the evening because of the sun going down later and later at this time of year. coemts that could be observed are: 117P, C/2017 K2, C/2020 R4, C/2020 T2 . With the LHiResIII high resolution spectrograph, I was able to observe the following stars: Sheliak, HD 112028, HD 50658, 18 Lyr.
