new comet was announced on the PPCP of the MPC. I used a 0.61 telescope of the Telescope.Live network in Chile to observe this new comet C/2020 F3 (NEOWISE)
comet observations on 1 april 2020
observation of comet C/2019 Y4 (ATLAS), for the first time also LRGB and comet C/2017 T2 (PANSTARRS)
spectroscopic observation comet C/2019 Y4 on 31 march
I put my ALPY600 spectrograph on my 0.4-m f/4 newton telescope to take a spectrum of comet C/2019 Y4 (ATLAS), just to try this out. The magnitude is low for spectrography, but i want to check this out.
USB problems with mount/CCD cam
I started the observatory for acquiring images of the 2 most visible comets at the moment. Unfortunately when the CCD-camera downloaded the first image, the USB was blocked and the mount gives a reset of the USB and software blocked as well. Complete full shutdown and restart gave no improvement and got identical same problem. Unfortunately no observations and just as clear a transparent sky.
comet observation on 28 march.
this evening the weather conditions were not so optimal, high humidity and clouds came over periodically. I was able to observe one comet anyway: C/2019 Y4 (ATLAS), then I had to close the observatory because of complete cloud cover.

Observation conditions are not so good, SQM is about 18.5 and transparency is rather low. Not ideal weather to observe the weak comets. comets that have been observed: 246P, 10P, C/2014 B1, C/2017 T2, C/2019Y4. spectroscopic observations are started as well. Be-stars wich a spectra could be obtained are: V764 Cas, HD 21620, 4 Her.

again a clear night, i could obtain some comet images this evening. The amount of comets is lower due some USB problems between the setup and my PC. comets that could be observed are: C/2017 T2, C/2019 Y4, C/2020 A2. Also spectroscopic observations are made of Be-stars: kap Dra, OT Gem, 10 Cas, 45 Cas, gam Cas.

the 4-the clear night, i observed several comets: 78P, 114P, 246P, C/2017 T2, C/2019 Y4, C/2020 A2. I observed also an object CDHE12, mentioned on the PCCP of the Minor planet center. I could detect this object, but could not see clearly cometary activity. Object has a magnitude of about 20.5 ! Again several spectra are taken with the C11-telescope and LHiResIII spectrograph: V447 Aur, HD 79066, HD 50658, HD 30739, HD 9612.

in this difficult covid19 period we are obliged to stay at home, ideal opportunity to observe on this 3rd day in a row with clear night. following comets were observed: 78P/ 114P, 124P, 155P, 246P, C/2017 T2, C/2019 N1, C/2019 Y4, C/2020 A2. again, I’ve been able to record some of Be-stars’ spectra: 15 Mon, 69 Ori, BN Gem, HD50763, HD 112014.
